Welcome to Junior Braid Academy

Rechristal “Chris” Brantley is a licensed cosmetologist with over 25 years of braiding experience. She has been braiding hair since the young age of 9 years old. She serviced her FIRST paying client at just 11 years old. Her 7th grade science teacher at Key Middle School. She serviced most of her classmates through middle school and high school. Some of which are still current clients who’ve only entrusted her for over 20 years. Because of her seniority and respect in the hair industry, she has also been granted the opportunity to braid celebrity clients, who’ve worn her work at Coachella, Fashion week in France, movie premiers, and also the Grammy’s. Though being a braider is her first love, teaching young girls is her passion. That is the purpose of The Junior Braid Academy. The Junior Braid Academy was established in 2018. The goal is to equip young girls, with the ability to become entrepreneurs, financially independent and literate, and Trail Blazers in a society where the odds are stacked against them. The Junior Braid Academy is not JUST a braiding class, it’s a program where opportunities are made, and greatness is produced.
